Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for an 18-week night shift assignment requiring EPIC experience and Magnesium Sulfate/C-Section expertise.
Details
- Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift, 5x8 hours (2245-0715)
- 18-week assignment length
- No block scheduling, must be flexible
- Floating to Post-Partum unit required based on patient care needs
- Uses EPIC charting system
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required in hand
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience in a unit with comparable volumes and acuity
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
- Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM
- EPIC charting experience required
- Previous travel experience required
- Experience with Magnesium Sulfate drips required
- Experience circulating and recovering C-Sections required
- Experience with high-risk delivery assistance, hemorrhage/shock management, and fetal monitoring (EFM)
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care
- Manage high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, VBAC, and multiple gestations
- Support medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
- Required modules completed during orientation, signed off by facility managers
- Local travelers accepted at the same rate as non-local travelers
- Travel pairs accepted
- Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before being considered for rehire as a traveler
- Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, all requests must be disclosed prior to start and cannot be modified afterward
- Charge nurse experience preferred but not required
