Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity Cardiovascular ICU position requiring AR or compact RN licensure and specialized cardiac device experience.
Details
- Acute care setting in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Busy, fast-paced CV service line with the highest acuity in the area
- Patient population includes all cardiovascular cases except transplants
- Uses Cerner EMR
- 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) on an every-other-weekend (EOW) rotation
- Scheduled for 48 guaranteed hours per week
Requirements
- Active AR or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience with ECMO, Impella, balloon pump, and VAD required
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to high-acuity cardiovascular ICU patients
- Candidates who were directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year are not eligible
- Candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
