Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position requiring BLS certification and an active RN license in New Mexico or compact.

Details

• Operating Room/Surgery unit within a hospital setting
• 4-day, 10-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• 13-week assignment, full time
• 1-2 24-hour weekend call shifts required
• On-call requirement of 1-2 call nights per week, including charge duties as needed
• Floating required to Main and other departments as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM state or compact) currently in hand
• BLS certification via AHA required
• BSN preferred
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Scrubs provided
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration
• Returning employees or travelers who previously worked at any Christus facility must be separated for 6 months before being eligible for a new travel assignment
