Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an outpatient oncology clinic requiring 2+ years of Nuclear Medicine experience, NMTCB certification, and NY State DOH license.
Details
- Outpatient cancer center setting serving adult and geriatric oncology patients
- Special procedures include PET/CT imaging
- Equipment includes Siemens Biograph Vision PET/CT and Hot Lab equipment
- Documentation via NMIS/Pinestar and Omnicell medication system
- EMR is Epic
- Monday-Friday day shift schedule, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM (37.5 hours/week)
- No shift rotation
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience required
- NMTCB certification required
- NY State Department of Health license required if applicable
- ARRT (N) and ARRT (PET) preferred
- Experience in both adult clinic and hospital settings required
- Siemens equipment experience required
- PET imaging experience required
- Experience starting and maintaining IVs required
- Experience with isolation precautions and appropriate PPE required
- Experience with safe handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials required
- Previous Charge Technologist experience preferred
- Experience administering Pluvicto (theranostic) injections preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred but not required
Additional Information
- Work within a collaborative multidisciplinary cancer care team
- Navy blue scrubs required (not provided)
- Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Returning NYU staff must wait one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
