Description
American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Rehab RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring WI or compact RN licensure and med-surg/inpatient rehab experience.
Details
- Freestanding 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital serving patients with stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions
- 49-bed inpatient rehab unit with a 1:7 patient ratio
- Adult patient population requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs
- Uses mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards, along with vital machines, EKG machines, and BGM
- Charts using EPIC EMR
- 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- On-call requirements apply
- No current floating requirement, though floating to a satellite IRF within 20 minutes may be required in the future
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment required
- Med-surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience related to patient acuity preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
- Copies of required certifications must be provided
Additional Information
- Unit functions similarly to a medical-surgical floor, with high acuity at times
- All nurses are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights to support patient safety
- Facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF, including a Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
- Mandatory 30-minute unpaid break each shift, with two additional 15-minute paid breaks for a 12-hour shift
- Staff may not stay past shift end time without house supervisor approval
- Does not accept local candidates
- Permanent residence must be more than 60 miles from the facility
- Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full time
