Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation position requiring WI or compact RN licensure and med-surg or inpatient rehab experience.
Details
- Work in a free-standing 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital
- Rehab Nursing unit with 49 beds
- Adult patient population requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs, including stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- Uses mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards, as well as vital machines, EKG machines, and BGM
- Charts in EPIC
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Required to work every other weekend and holiday rotations
- Call requirements apply
- No current floating requirement, though floating to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or another 24/7 skilled care environment required
- Med-surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred based on patient acuity
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit due to high patient acuity at times
- All nurses expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights to support patient safety
- Mandatory 30-minute unpaid break each shift, with two additional 15-minute paid breaks
- Staff not permitted to stay past shift end time unless approved by the house supervisor
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
- Local candidates not accepted
