Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level II trauma center, requiring NM or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Work on a 43-bed Medical Unit within a Level II trauma center
- Patient ratios of 1:5 and 1:6
- Adult patient population (18+) with common diagnoses including cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and CHF
- Uses vital signs machines, bladder scanners, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and tube feeding pumps
- Documents in Cerner EHR
- Day shift schedule from 7A to 7P
- Expected to work at least 2 weekend shifts per month per facility policy
- Floating required based on facility needs
- No on-call requirements
- Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
Requirements
- Active NM or compact RN license
- BLS certification (must be AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred
- ADN required
- Med/surg experience preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred but not required
- Oncology skills helpful but not necessary
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a busy medical/surgical unit at a facility offering medical, surgical, and rehabilitation services
- Work within a hospital that serves the Four Corners region spanning New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
- Facility accepts trauma transfers via air for Level I, II, and III cases
- First-time travelers may be considered
