Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position in Louisville, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

  • Work on a Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
  • 36 hours per week on a 0.9 FTE schedule

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
  • No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
  • Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary care team

Additional Information

  • Provide holistic, patient and family-centered nursing care using evidence-based practice
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and prioritize patient needs
  • Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge processes including discharge teaching and coordination with case management
  • Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives including patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
  • Must reside within 75 miles to be eligible for the travel pay rate; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
