Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Oncology for an outpatient Cancer and Infusion Center position requiring ONS certification and 2-3 years of oncology experience.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting within a Cancer and Infusion Center
• Day shift, 4x10s, rotating days with no set weekly schedule
• Shift hours approximately 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification required
• ONCC-CHIM certification required
• 2-3 years of recent oncology nursing experience required
• EPIC experience required
• BSN preferred
• Hospital or physician's office experience preferred

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated outpatient nursing care according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
• Coordinate care across disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care plans
• Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, humane care
• Provide education and health information to patients, families, and treatment teams
• Prepare patients, rooms, and equipment for minor surgical procedures and assist physicians as needed
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction and local rates matching travel rates
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
