Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2+ years of PACU experience and ACLS certification.
Details
- 24-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit
- Common diagnoses include orthopedic and general surgery cases
- 12-hour day shifts from 9A to 9P
- 3 shifts per week
- Call required
- Floating required, with high possibility of floating to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
- Prior ICU or ER experience required
- Degree accreditation verification required, or 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation verification
- Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
Additional Information
- Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to ortho and general surgery patients
- Travelers are expected to function as core staff and demonstrate flexibility as a team player
- Prior travel experience highly preferred
- Orientation begins on a Friday, with remote orientation completed in advance and an in-person visit required for badge/ID
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for travel rate, and cannot own or cosign property within that radius
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application, as the facility will not approve additional RTO after submission
- No block scheduling requests accommodated
