Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for Cardiac Interventional Radiology with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification required.
Details
- Work in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology settings
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call required minimum 2 days a week and every 3rd weekend
- Equipment used includes Acist injector, Siemens C-arm, Philips C-arm, Medrad power injector, Rotopro, Diamondback, IVUS, OCT, Shock wave, Rampart, Pneumbra, and Inari
- Cerner charting system used
- 100% floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- ACLS, BLS, and ARRT-R certifications required
- License required if applicable
- Conscious sedation skills required
- Ability to circulate and scrub in sterile field procedures
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including LHC, RHC, balloon pumps, temporary and permanent pacemakers/defibrillators, and STEMI call
- Experience with IR procedures including venous access, drain placement, GI tube insertion, PE/DVT treatment, TIPS, PV procedures, fistula work, UFEs, prostate embolizations, and GI/postpartum/internal bleeds
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- 2 supervisor references required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Travel experience required
Additional Information
- Perform procedural responsibilities including accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site prep, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Perform genitourinary, abdominal, pelvic, and vascular studies and procedures including angiography, embolization, angioplasty, and various catheter/drain placements
- Assist with cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy
- Follow isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and sterile technique at all times
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- RTO of 5 days or less is auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Former IU Health perm or PRN employees must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Current or past IU Health travelers with 12+ months of travel employment must complete a designated break before reapplying
- Local candidates residing in Indiana are considered local
