Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a VA or compact license and 1-2 years of OB experience.

Details

• Work in the OB unit (3rd floor) of a Level 3 OB acute care hospital
• OB unit includes 3 L&D beds, 9 OB beds, 14 nursery beds, and 3 intermediate nursery beds
• Low patient volume with fewer than 15 deliveries per month
• Night shift 6:45p-7:15a with every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float to Nursery and Post-Partum units as needed, particularly if units close due to low census
• Uses Meditech EHR
• Patient ratios per A1 guidelines

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (or above), and STABLE for nursery
• Minimum 1-1.5 years of relevant OB experience required
• General OB Labor & Delivery and Nursery care experience preferred
• Social security number and date of birth required for consideration
• AHA certifications required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across L&D, Nursery, and Post-Partum as needed
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
• Candidates must be able to start within 7-10 days of acceptance
