Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with 2+ years of ER experience and required ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications for a 14-week day shift assignment.
Details
- Acute care hospital Emergency Department setting with a 233-bed facility
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 5:45 to 18:15
- Weekend requirement of 2 shifts every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- No on-call requirements
- No floating required outside of scope
- EPIC charting system used
- Navy scrub color required
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required (no issuance if tied to another compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC
- Triage and IV start skills required
- Pending license accepted at time of submission
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Travel experience not required
- No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
- Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
- Standard travelers may stay up to 18 months and must take a 3-month break in service afterward
- Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with manager approval required for additional time
- No RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
- Facial hair must allow for proper respirator fit testing or will need to be shaved
- Contract length is firm with no exceptions
