Description
American Traveler is hiring a night-shift MRI Technologist with 3+ years of experience scanning neuro, body, and MSK studies, including vented and monitored patients in a Level 1 Trauma setting.
Details
- Hospital-based MRI department in an acute care, Level 1 Trauma setting
- 4x10 night shifts from 21:00-07:30, Monday through Thursday block schedule (5x8 night shifts also considered)
- Every third weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled
- Floating required within specialty and campus as needed
- No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required
- Scans basic MRI requests including Neuro, Body, and MSK studies
- Scans ventilated and monitored patients with IV extensions
- Uses Siemens Aera and Sola 1.5T magnets primarily
- PACS system used for imaging
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years MRI Technologist experience required
- ARRT-R certification required; ARRT-MR preferred
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- MD state license required if applicable
- Experience with vented and monitored patients, ideally in a Level 1 Trauma setting required
- Siemens Aera and Sola 1.5T magnet experience required
- High level of competency in MRI safety, MRI zones, and maintaining safety for visiting staff required
- First-time travelers accepted with strong skills and experience
Additional Information
- Perform MRI scans across neuro, body, and MSK specialties with high-level safety competency
- Maintain MRI safety standards for visiting staff and ensure proper MRI zone protocols
- Travelers are expected to float within scope with no restrictions
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted unless otherwise specified
- Former staff must have a 12-month break before returning as a traveler
- Returning travelers must have at least a 6-month break from the system before reapplying
