Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring SC or compact RN licensure and prior ER experience.

Details

• Work in a free-standing Emergency and Urgent Care facility with 12 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule of 3x12 hour shifts from 7a-7p, Sunday through Saturday depending on needs
• Weekend requirements apply
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required
• Traveler will begin the assignment at the main hospital ER for approximately 2 weeks before transitioning to the free-standing ER/UC facility
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (AHA only)
• Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrub color is royal blue
• Free parking is available on site
• During hurricane season (June through November, peak in August and September), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
• First-time travelers will be considered if they have ER experience
• Previous MUSC perm staff (including PRN) must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius to be considered as non-local; local candidates will be considered at a reduced rate
• Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration and is subject to facility approval
