Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN with at least one year of nursing experience to float across multiple inpatient units at a Level 1 Trauma facility.
Details
- Floats to various inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs as applicable
- Day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend and holiday shifts vary
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma center experience required
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic EMR charting experience required
Additional Information
- Provides direct nursing care and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members across diverse patient populations
- Completes initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care
- Implements, evaluates, and modifies nursing interventions based on patient needs
- May precept staff from various units as needed
- May complete Unit Nurse Leader Training as needed
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Workers may not be continuously on assignment for more than 1 year and must take a 6-month break before returning
