Description

American Traveler is hiring a Multimodality CT/X-Ray Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a teaching hospital setting requiring dual ARRT certification.

Details

• Teaching hospital setting with Level 1 Trauma designation and Magnet recognition
• Rotating 3x12 hour shifts, days 7:00 AM-7:30 PM and nights 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, shifts may rotate weekly or biweekly
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Possible float to similar units within scope
• Performs both CT and X-ray imaging across adult and pediatric populations
• Exams include abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine/musculoskeletal, chest, cardiac (calcium scoring, coronary angiography), and vascular CTA studies
• Utilizes Siemens equipment and PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• ARRT certification in both Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required
• BLS and ACLS required (ACLS may be pending, must obtain within 2-3 weeks of hire)
• South Carolina license required if applicable
• Epic experience required
• Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture required
• Emergency, trauma, pediatric, and orthopedic imaging experience in both modalities highly preferred
• Experience with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement preferred
• Must be able to effectively explain procedures to patients and ensure understanding/competency

• Provides quality imaging and patient care across X-ray and CT modalities
• Produces diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
• Teal blue scrub top with black bottoms required
• Candidates must provide their own radiation badge
• Parking pass available for a one-time $20 fee; parking costs apply for nights and weekends
• All employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June-November)
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on qualifications
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius for full travel rate consideration
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for approval consideration
