Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift float position requiring 3 years of experience and SC or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15)
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- On-call requirement of 2 shifts every 4 weeks
- Float required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
Requirements
- Active RN license (SC or compact) required, no pending licenses accepted
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
- Copy of certifications required for consideration
- Two supervisory references required
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients with floating responsibilities as needed
- Minimize time off requests, especially during the first two weeks of the assignment or for full weeks off during the contract
- Any time-off requests must be approved and documented prior to the start of the assignment
- Expect to work some holidays
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from employment for at least 5 years to be eligible as a traveler
