Description
American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring telemetry experience and a MO or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the MS/Tele unit of a community hospital
- Patient ratios of 1:5-6
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Cerner charting system preferred
- Floating required, including to MS/Tele and other units as needed
- Required to work Dec 25th and Jan 1st, with 50% holiday coverage overall
- Every other weekend required
Requirements
- Active MO or Compact RN license required in hand
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs
- Must be able to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to Med/Surg and Telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Work in a 24/7 healthcare facility with routine exposure to patients with contagious illnesses
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted; those residing within 50 miles are not eligible, 51-74 miles offered at reduced local rate
- Maximum RTO of 10 days, with no time off during first week due to orientation
- Rotating shifts, holidays, and work during inclement weather required
