Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric CVOR RN with required cardiac call availability and current AHA BLS/PALS/ACLS certifications.
Details
- Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Perform congenital open heart procedures including ASD/VSD repair, Norwood/Glenn/Fontan, TAPVR, ECMO, central shunts, arterial switch, arch reconstruction, valve repair/replacement, and heart transplantation
- Schedule is Monday-Friday with (4) 10-hour or (3) 12-hour shifts, starting at 6:00 AM
- Required to take weekday and weekend cardiac call, 10-12 shifts within a 28-day schedule period
- Required call response time of 30 minutes
- May float to areas of like skill set, including thoracic
Requirements
- Active FL or Compact RN license required
- Current AHA BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Circulating and scrub experience in CVOR preferred
- Experience in a comparable facility size (500+ bed count) preferred
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care for complex pediatric cardiac surgical cases
- Coverage of one major holiday required
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- First-time travelers may be considered if experience aligns closely with position requirements
