Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring high-risk OB experience and intermediate fetal monitoring certification.
Details
- Labor and Delivery/OBED unit within a Women's Hospital setting
- 23-bed unit with day and night shift coverage including RNs, CNC, CST, and secretarial support
- 2:1 patient ratio
- EMR: CPN/Meditech
- On-call requirement of one shift every 4 weeks
- Floating required within Women's Services (Postpartum/Antepartum)
- 13-week assignment with 7A-7P shift schedule
- Tuesday start dates required
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), and intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring (AWHONN or NCCEFM)
- Minimum 1 year of recent travel experience in high-risk OB Labor and Delivery
- OBED and high-risk/high-volume OB experience preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive high-risk OB care including magnesium and insulin drip management
- Perform circulating and scrubbing duties as needed
- Join a team-oriented unit that values a positive, busy work environment
- Approved time off requires working three shifts during those weeks, plus coverage of two major and one minor winter holiday
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility - no local candidates accepted
