Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at an academic medical center requiring prior travel experience and float flexibility between two ED locations.
Details
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week with variable days
- Holidays and weekends required
- Floats between two standalone Emergency Departments located 10 miles apart
- Emergency Department and Level 1 Trauma Center setting
- Uses Epic EMR
- No block scheduling permitted
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and ACLS certifications required
- TNCC certification preferred
- 2-3 years of RN experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- ED experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center preferred
- Must pass a specialty assessment and EKG test including rhythm interpretation during orientation
- Proof of influenza vaccination required prior to clearance

- Highly rated academic medical center with a traveler-friendly culture
- Must be open to floating between facility locations with flexibility being essential
- 50-mile radius rule applies with no local candidates accepted
- RTO blackout dates include 11/26-11/28, 12/24-12/25, and 12/31
- Unplanned time off resulting in missed contract shifts may result in contract cancellation
- No permeable shoes allowed
- Strong traveler candidates preferred
