Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and AWHONN or CEFM certification.

Details

• Work in a 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit within the Women's and Children's building
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Unit staffed with RNs, unit secretary, and OR techs
• Uses CPN and Meditech documentation systems
• Performs vaginal deliveries, c-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor procedures
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Requires 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift per schedule
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Travelers float first per unit policy

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct care to laboring patients and newborns immediately following delivery
• Circulate and recover cesarean section patients
• Supports a shared decision-making approach to patient experience
• Required scrub colors: Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray; scrubs not provided by facility
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
