Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a fast-paced Acute Surgery Unit requiring 12-hour night shifts and at least 2 years of specialty experience.
Details
- Acute Surgery Unit within a hospital setting
- Fast-paced unit discharging and admitting 8-15 patients daily
- Patients admitted from the ED, PACU, or as direct admits
- Dedicated ADT (admission, discharge, transfer) nurse supports patient flow
- 12-hour night shift schedule, 3 shifts per week
- Shift times vary around 6:45pm-7:15am
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within the specialty required
- AHA BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Cerner EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- Returning permanent staff must have a 2-year break before returning as a non-local traveler
- Strict compliance expectations with no pushes, exceptions, or conditional starts
- 100% credentialing must be completed prior to start date
