Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Care ICU position requiring recent specialty experience and advanced cardiac certifications.
Details
- Work in a highly specialized 20-bed Cardiac Care ICU
- Patient population includes open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients
- Uses specialized equipment including intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, CRRT, and epicardial pacemakers
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Schedule varies between 7A-7P
Requirements
- Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS required; CCRN and NIHSS preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in cardiac ICU specialty required
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing support for complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical patients
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve)
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- Returning staff who previously worked permanently at the facility must have a 2-year break before returning as a non-local traveler
- RTO must be requested upfront prior to offer and cannot be requested afterward
