Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience and NRP certification for a night shift contract position.

Details

  • Work in the Respiratory Therapy department within a NICU setting
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week totaling 36 hours
  • No on-call requirements
  • Uses Drager VN500 ventilator, oscillator, and CPAP equipment
  • Responsibilities include attending high-risk deliveries, managing ventilator and oscillator setup, and obtaining/analyzing blood gases

Requirements

  • Active Georgia RRT license required in hand (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • NICU experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • NRP certification required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Ceil blue scrubs required as part of dress code
  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; no local candidates accepted
  • Former Emory or Houston perm staff must be separated for 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
  • RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days if not near a holiday, or 3 days if on/near a holiday, with only one holiday request allowed
