Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and Siemens equipment experience.
Details
- Level I Trauma teaching hospital setting
- CT Tech unit supporting Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, and Pediatric Acute Care
- Performs abdomen, pelvis, chest, head and neck, cervical, lumbar, thoracic spine, and musculoskeletal trauma CT studies
- Performs special procedures including brain perfusion, CT colonography, CT arthrography, transplant studies, and vascular CTA
- Uses Siemens CT equipment, PACS, and Epic EMR
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Candidates will float within scope as needed
Requirements
- ARRT (R)(CT), ARRT (R), and BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required, including Siemens equipment experience without a lapse in use
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- BSN preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Experience with peripheral IV starts and contrast media preparation/administration preferred
- 2 professional references required at supervisor level or above
- SSN and DOB required at time of submission
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing CT imaging studies with and without contrast across multiple specialties
- Candidates should outline shift availability at the time of consideration
- Locals accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions
- Both travelers and permanent staff must be separated from VCU Health for 12 months before returning as a traveler
- Facility maintains a natural nail policy
- Facility is a drug, tobacco, and smoke-free workplace
- ER and Psych candidates must undergo fingerprinting per Virginia law, with results taking 15-20 business days; candidates cannot start with results pending
- All candidates complete required orientation modules through the VCU Learning Exchange, to be finished by the end of orientation week
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and are subject to manager approval; no time off granted during the first week of assignment
- Background checks will be reviewed by the facility
