Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU/IMC position requiring 2 years of current SICU experience and at least 2 previous travel assignments.

Details

  • Surgical ICU/Intermediate Care (SICU/9E) unit in the Department of Surgery
  • Patient population includes trauma, transplant, vascular, GI, ortho-spine, oncology, and general surgery cases
  • Day shift 12-hour schedule, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
  • Float required to areas of like skill set as needed
  • Weekend commitment of 3 out of 6 weekends per 6-week schedule
  • Call requirement of 2 availability calls per 6-week schedule
  • Holiday coverage as needed

Requirements

  • Active RN license (MD or compact) required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years current Surgical ICU experience required
  • At least 2 previous travel assignments required
  • Experience in a comparable facility size (500+ bed count) required
  • Critical Care Certification, trauma course completion, Epic experience, and ACLS preferred

Additional Information

  • Care for ICU and post-surgical patients across trauma, transplant, vascular, GI, ortho/neuro spine, and general surgery services
  • Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
