Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with EP skills, requiring at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience and VA or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Cardiovascular program providing minimally invasive cardiac procedures including electrophysiology services
- May be assigned to other CV departments including Electrophysiology, Cath Lab, or Cath Holding
- Schedule includes 5x8 and 4x10 shifts with varying start times between 7a-7p
- Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call required, approximately 10-14 days per month
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active VA RN license or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
- Critical Care (ICU), Cardiac Care (CC), or Emergency Department (ED) experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Epic proficiency required
- Must pass EKG rhythm interpretation test with a minimum score of 80%, with only one attempt allowed and no remediation available
- Skilled in procedures such as diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, right/left heart catheterizations, IABP and Impella placement, vascular closure systems, and sheath removal/monitoring
- Experience with cardioversion, ACT monitoring, procedural sedation, and 12 lead EKG/ECG acquisition
- Familiarity with EP procedures including pacemaker insertion and cardioversion
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and scrub duties for cardiac cath and EP procedures
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation along with emergency and cardiac medications
- Candidates must not have any prior license or background history issues, as these will eliminate eligibility for consideration
- Facility cannot accommodate PAPR use; any history of fit test issues will eliminate candidates from consideration
- Local candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Three hours of pre-start modules required prior to orientation
- RTO requests must be submitted with availability reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis
