Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Level II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT MR certification.

Details

• Level II Trauma teaching hospital with 497 staffed beds
• MRI Tech unit supporting adult acute care, ICU, outpatient, and ER/Trauma patients
• 3x12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• Call required one weekend per month, with up to 2 days of call per week depending on night shift staffing
• Called in for true STAT cases such as stroke and spinal cord compression
• No floating within scope required
• Uses Epic charting system
• Uses GE, Siemens, and Philips MRI equipment, with Siemens and Philips experience strongly preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
• BLS and ARRT MR certification required (ARMRIT will be considered); license required if applicable
• IV start experience required
• Contrast media preparation and administration experience required
• Experience with abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Experience with special imaging procedures such as CINE, diffusion imaging, perfusion, MRA, and spectroscopy
• Siemens and Philips equipment experience strongly preferred

Additional Information

• Perform MRI imaging across a wide range of anatomical regions and special procedures for acute care, ICU, outpatient, and trauma patients
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Holiday coverage required if a holiday falls on a scheduled shift
• Weekend call shifts run Friday through Sunday from 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• RTO requests should be submitted as early as possible
• Local candidates within 70 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Black scrubs required
• Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper mask seal for respirator fit testing; CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided and personal units are not permitted, with no exceptions
