Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit position requiring 2 years of recent experience and an active KY or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in a 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital on a 12-14 bed unit
  • Rehab patient population aged 18 and older including stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury cases
  • Patient ratios of 1:7 for RNs, 1:10 for LPNs, and 1:12 for techs/CNAs
  • Onsite equipment includes EKG machines and bladder scanners
  • Uses Cerner EHR
  • Day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Every weekend work required
  • 36 weekly guaranteed hours

Requirements

  • Active KY or compact RN license required
  • BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • NIHSS certification required at time of consideration with active enrollment, not proof of enrollment
  • 2 years of recent rehab nursing experience required
  • Hospital experience required
  • ADN or higher required
  • Critical thinking skills required

Additional Information

  • Provide comprehensive rehab nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
  • CPI training required for all RNs and may be completed onsite
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Must be fully vaccinated for flu and COVID with no exceptions
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted for this travel position
  • Gaps in work history of 3 months or more require an explanation
