Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN - Telemetry with 2 years of acute inpatient experience and Epic proficiency for a day shift position requiring every other weekend coverage.
Details
- Med-Surg/PCU mix unit with 9-14 beds
- Patient ratio of 4-5:1
- Mixed acuity patient population including general med/surg diagnoses
- RN reads telemetry and titrates limited medications such as heparin
- Utilizes skills including EKG, trach care, PCA, wound vac, and feeding tubes as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
- Day shift schedule 6:45am-7:15pm
- Works 3 days per week for 36 hours
- Every other weekend required
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Provides patient and family education specific to care needs and discharge planning
- Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and may serve as a mentor or preceptor
- Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts
- Works within a mixed acuity unit alongside a collaborative, supportive peer team
