Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an acute care hospital, requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification, with PET experience highly preferred.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with 488 staffed beds
- Nuclear Medicine department performing PET/CT and general nuclear medicine procedures
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Must be willing to float between sister facilities in the area
- On-call not required but may be requested
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Free parking available
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required (2 years preferred for first-time travelers)
- BLS required
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required; license required if applicable
- CT Advanced Cert preferred
- PET certification preferred
- Experience with GE, Philips, or Siemens equipment preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Skilled in procedures including bone scans, myocardial perfusion studies, renal studies, thyroid studies, and PET scans
- Proficient in venous blood draws, IV starts, and handling/storage of radioactive materials
- First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
- Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Must be willing to float between Mission Viejo and Mission Laguna Beach locations
- Block scheduling accommodation subject to manager discretion
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
- Facility may cancel one shift per two-week pay period
- Scrubs provided for OR staff
- Returning staff must wait at least 3 months before returning and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local pay rate
- Two professional references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
