Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level II Trauma experience and a valid WI or Compact RN license.

Details

• Emergency Department setting with combined adult and pediatric populations
• Level II Trauma Center with preferred Level I Trauma experience
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Weekend rotation required, including holidays as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years
• Epic charting system experience required, preferably within the past 12 months
• Must have completed at least one travel assignment of six months or more
• Extension experience highly preferred
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting the assignment

Additional Information

• Care for patients presenting with trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and orthopedic emergencies
• Perform skills such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line management, and blood product administration
• Manage ventilated and critically ill patients, including interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias
• Administer emergency medications and monitor procedural sedation
• Experience with triage, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols expected
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
