Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for Interventional Radiology requiring 1 year of recent IR experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a 150-bed hospital
- Day shift staffing includes 2 IR RNs and 2 IR Techs; night shift is on-call only
- Patient ratio is 1:1
- Uses Siemens single plane C-arm equipment
- Documents in Meditech EMR
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7A-5P, plus call
- On-call requirements include 5P-7A weeknights and 24-hour weekend call, averaging 7-9 shifts per month
- Typical procedures include para/thora/LVO/FNA, midline and PICC line placement, kyphoplasty, and PE thrombectomy
- Performs vascular access, conscious sedation, and critical care support
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital IR RN experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
- Strong vascular access skills preferred
- PICC line or midline experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care for interventional radiology procedures including vascular access and conscious sedation
- Works closely with Imaging departments
- Supportive leadership team that fosters collaboration and celebrates team successes
- Candidates should be positive, hard-working team players with strong critical thinking and patient care skills
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
