Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Burn Unit position requiring a compact or CO RN license and current NIHSS certification.

Details

• Burn Unit setting with 8 beds and 19 staff members
• Patient population includes burn patients across med/surg, intermediate care, and ICU levels, plus immediate post-op and general medical/surgical ICU patients
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, and 1 wound tech; night shift includes 1 charge nurse and 3 RNs
• Patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:3
• Uses GE monitors and Plum IV pumps
• Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of current ICU RN experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include ICU assessments, ventilator management, fluid resuscitation, wound care, and pain management
• Provide resuscitation and care for critical burn patients through acute and recovery phases
• Team-oriented individuals with strong communication skills are ideal fits for this unit
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
