Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift float pool position requiring NC or compact RN licensure and prior Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Staffing Response Team/Float Pool position
• Float pool covers multiple areas including ICU, Intermediate Care, Med-Surg, and ED holding
• Staff float to units within their qualified area and certifications
• Night shift schedule, 7:00pm - 7:00am
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina (Standard or Compact)
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• NIHSS certification required
• 2+ years of Med-Surg nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required
• BSN or MSN preferred
• TNCC and CPI certifications preferred

Additional Information

• Deliver competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital setting
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Perform bedside point of care testing as part of patient care plan
• Participate in discharge planning and interdisciplinary care coordination
• Collaborate with patients and families to develop and update care plans
• Report to and work under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director
• Every other holiday coverage required
