Description

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with 2+ years of experience and RVT/RVS registration to support a short-term acute care hospital system.

Details

Covers both Belleville and Shiloh locations, primarily based at Belleville
Short term acute care facility with 298 staffed beds
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Works every 7th Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with on-call coverage Sunday 7:00 AM to noon
Average daily caseload of 40 patients per technologist
Performs Doppler studies, peripheral vascular, renal artery duplex, and upper/lower extremity arterial and venous studies
May float within scope to meet needs at both Belleville and Shiloh facilities
Uses Epic for charting and Siemens/Acuson ultrasound equipment

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist required
RVT or RVS registration required
ARDMS and BLS certifications required
Community hospital experience required
Experience with Epic charting and Siemens/Parks equipment preferred
Experience with arterial graft studies and arterial mapping preferred
Must be comfortable working with adult patients in Emergency Department and outpatient settings
Performs portable exams as needed
License required if applicable

Additional Information

First-time travelers accepted
Scrub colors are wine or cell blue
Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered
Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
Additional RTO requires manager approval and must be finalized prior to submission
Permanent BJC or Saint Luke's employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
Standard travelers may work up to 18 months before requiring a 3-month break in service
All travelers float within their service line to meet facility needs
