Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Birth RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of recent labor experience and C-EFM and NRP certifications.

Details

• Work in the Family Birth Place unit of a hospital setting
• Unit includes 15 labor beds, 7 antepartum beds, and 4 pre/post beds
• Patient ratios typically 1:1 or 2:1
• Uses external fetal monitoring equipment
• Documents in EPIC EMR
• Night shift schedule, 3x12, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend shifts required as needed by facility
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float to postpartum unit

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK state or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, C-EFM, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience required
• Experience at a hospital delivering 350-400 births monthly required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume labor and delivery unit
• Black scrub color required
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted, though bill rate is reduced for those within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week local contracts before requiring a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the radius
