Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with ARRT registration in MRI and at least 2 years of MRI experience for a long-term assignment.
Details
- Radiology MRI department setting
- Evening/night shift, 3x12s, 36 hours per week from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
- On-call requirements apply
- Uses PACS, RIS, and current EMR systems
Requirements
- Current BLS certification
- Washington State Certification as a Radiologic Technologist required if applicable
- Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT registration in MRI required
- Minimum of 2 years previous MRI experience required
- Able to perform IV access using sterile technique and administer contrast media under physician supervision
- Able to safely lift and transfer patients using proper ergonomic technique and equipment
Additional Information
- Prepare for and perform MRI examinations while operating equipment safely
- Develop, initiate, and monitor procedures for effective utilization of the MRI scanner
- Maintain cleanliness of the scanner and associated equipment per infection control policies
- Follow MRI safety and quality assurance procedures
- Complete required documentation for each examination performed
- Comply with continuing education requirements as dictated by regulatory entities
- Use hydraulic lifts or other safe patient handling devices, involving family members or caregivers when necessary
