Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift contract requiring IL licensure, EKG proficiency, and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit handling boarded patients in the ED (not ED patients)
• Float to other Med/Surg units when not needed in the ED
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every-other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage required as needed (at least 1-2 holidays during contract)
• No on-call requirement
• 8-week contract length

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross only)
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required; 4+ years preferred
• EKG experience required
• Must pass a Relias EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to submission, plus an onsite EKG test on Day 1
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required, with at least 1 completed travel assignment
• New graduates will not be accepted
• 2 professional references required, with 1 from the most recent travel assignment
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients, including boarded patients in the ED
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months to be considered as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for this 8-week contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius
• A brief onsite interview (10-15 minutes) will be conducted by the facility
