Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with EKG experience for an 8-week day-shift contract requiring prior travel nursing experience and an IL RN license.

Details

• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit caring for boarded patients in the ED and floating to other MS units as needed
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every-other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, 4+ years preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required with at least 1 completed travel assignment
• EKG test with passing score required for consideration
• New graduates not accepted
• Date of birth required for consideration
• 2 professional references required at time of consideration, with 1 reference required from most recent travel assignment

Additional Information

• Care for boarded patients in the Emergency Department as well as Medical-Surgical/Telemetry patients when floating
• On-site EKG test required on Day 1 of orientation; failure to pass will result in contract termination
• A study guide will be provided prior to start to help prepare for the on-site EKG test
• Must work 1-2 holidays during the contract
• Maximum RTO of 3 days for this 8-week contract
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from employment for 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Candidates should expect a brief 10-15 minute interview with the hospital
