Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification to perform mammography procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Details
- Inpatient and outpatient work settings
- Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Performs 3-D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, digital mammography, screening mammograms, stereotactic biopsy, fine needle aspiration, and needle localizations
- Uses Hologic 3D equipment, PACS, and Synapse/Hologic systems
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted facility
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience required
- ARRT (M) or ARRT (R) certification preferred
- BLS certification required
- CA state license required (license required if applicable)
- Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- Skilled in digital quality assurance procedures, isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, and universal precautions/core measures
- Ability to teach breast self-exams preferred
- Management or lead experience a plus
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing a range of mammography procedures and supporting radiation safety protocols
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; requests made after submission or offer may not be granted
- Candidates may only be submitted to one Providence facility at a time
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3 month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to qualify for full travel bill rate
- Background checks with Nursys or BG hits are not accepted by this facility
