Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 12-week day shift contract requiring 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Inpatient Med/Surg/Telemetry unit caring for MS/TEL patients, located within the ICU
• 12-hour day shift schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed (1-2 holidays during contract)
• First to float to other Med/Surg/Tele units
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross only)
• Current NIHSS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required, with at least 1 completed travel assignment
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Relias EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation
• Date of birth required for consideration
• 2 professional references required, with 1 reference from most recent travel assignment

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg/Telemetry inpatients
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away from the facility for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts or 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Hospital conducts a brief interview (approximately 10-15 minutes) as part of the process
