Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring prior travel nursing experience and IL licensure.

Details

• Inpatient ICU setting caring for Med/Surg/Telemetry (MS/TEL) admissions
• 12-hour night shift position
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage required as needed (1-2 holidays during contract)
• First to float to other Med/Surg/Tele units
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross only)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience required
• Must pass a Relias EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation
• Epic EMR experience required
• New graduates will not be considered
• Prior travel nursing experience required, with a minimum of 1 completed travel assignment
• 2 professional references required, with 1 reference from the most recent travel assignment
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg/Telemetry patients in an ICU setting
• Orientation is scheduled every Monday with 8 non-billable hours
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• RTO is limited based on contract length, with a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts and 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Candidates will participate in a brief 10-15 minute interview with the hospital
