Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift contract requiring IL licensure and at least 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience.

Details

• ICU setting caring for inpatient Med/Surg/Telemetry admissions
• 12-hour night shift schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating required, with priority to float to other Med/Surg/Tele units
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
• BLS certification required (American Heart or American Red Cross only)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required, including at least 1 completed travel assignment
• New graduates will not be considered
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Relias EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• 2 professional references required, with 1 from the most recent travel assignment

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to inpatient Med/Surg and Telemetry patients in an ICU setting
• On-site EKG test required on Day 1 of orientation (pass/fail); a study guide will be provided in advance, and failure may result in contract termination
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Local radius of 50 miles
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from employment for 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts or 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Must work at least 1-2 holidays during the contract
• Candidates will participate in a facility interview lasting approximately 10-15 minutes
