Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring prior travel nursing experience and EKG proficiency.

Details

• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• 6-week contract with Day shift, 7a-7p (12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required (1-2 holidays during contract)
• Float required to all 4 MS/Tel units at this facility
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross only)
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tel experience required
• Must pass EKG test with 80% or higher score prior to consideration, plus a pass/fail on-site EKG test on first day of orientation
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required, with at least 1 completed travel assignment
• New graduates not accepted
• 2 professional references required, with 1 reference mandatory from most recent travel assignment
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care within a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Orientation includes 8 hours of classroom time plus first shift as unit orientation
• Facility conducts a 10-15 minute interview with candidates
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from the facility for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for contracts up to 8 weeks
