Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of experience and prior travel nursing assignments.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shift, 19:00 start
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed (1-2 holidays during contract)
• Floating required, with priority given to like units
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart or American Red Cross for BLS only)
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• New graduates not accepted
• Prior travel nursing experience required, with at least 1 completed travel assignment
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Relias EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to submission
• Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation
• Date of birth required for consideration
• 2 professional references required, with 1 from the most recent travel assignment

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care within a hospital unit
• 16 hours of non-billable orientation required, scheduled every Monday
• 8-week contract with maximum RTO of 3 days
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been away from the facility for 12 months before being submitted as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate within a 50-mile radius
• Candidates should expect a brief hospital interview as part of the hiring process
