Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for an 8-week night shift contract requiring 2+ years of telemetry experience with ortho and surgical patients and IL licensure.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes ortho and surgical patients
• 8-week contract on night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Flexible floating to Highland Park, Evanston, or Skokie locations
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, and BLS (American Heart Association preferred, American Red Cross accepted for BLS)
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience with ortho and surgical patients required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
• Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation to continue the assignment
• New graduates not accepted
• Two current professional references from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge nurse within the last year required
• At least one travel reference preferred

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care to ortho and surgical patients
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
• RTO for 8-week contracts limited to a maximum of 3 days
• Hospital conducts a short interview (10-15 minutes) as part of the process
