Description

American Traveler is hiring a Multimodality CT Technologist (X-Ray & CT) with 1+ years experience to work 3x12 day shifts in an acute care hospital setting, open to first-time travelers.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting performing multimodality X-Ray and CT imaging
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Fri-Sun, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• No on-call requirement
• Weekend work required as part of scheduled shifts
• Home location will be the primary facility with potential float to other locations within the division as needed for critical coverage
• Uses Epic for charting and Sectra for PACS
• Performs imaging across abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and vascular/cardiac CT studies
• Supports special procedures including biopsies, coronary CTA, and vascular CTA
• Works across adult acute care, adult outpatient, ICU, and emergency department settings

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
• BLS, ARRT (R), ARRT (CT) certifications required
• SCRQSA (R) and SCRQSA (CT) certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Radiation badge required and must be provided by the agency
• Skilled in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
• Proficient in contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• 13-week assignment
• Black and teal scrubs required
• Free parking provided with pass distributed at start date
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• During hurricane season (June through November), employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Candidates living within 60 miles are considered local and may be accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration for approval based on facility needs
• Previous staff members (including PRN) must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler
